I'm joining the following holiday editions of weekly parties:
Alphabe-Thursday over at Jenny Matlock This week's letter is "L"
"L" is for Let It Snow!
Tablescape Thursday with our hostess Susan at Between Naps On The Porch
This is the story of two snowy Christmas villages. I spent many a
Christmas in snow country before we moved to California, but now
I enjoy the snow as only a distant memory!
A tiny snow covered village that I've had since I was about five years old.
Some of these little houses appeared in my Toyland Tablescape
My children and then my grandchildren have played with these over the years
and now I am playing with them again. :-)
Today's vintage tablecloth pictures a snowy village somewhere
in this vast country. It could be most anywhere, but exists only
in my mind's eye here in Northern California.

This snowy village also features a church and the snow covered
streets leading to houses filled with holiday parties and
treasured moments with family and friends.
Is he not the cutest snowman?

Love that little wooden village.
Where in the heck do you store all this?
If you are running out of room, I'd be happy to store a bunch of it here.

ReplyDeleteYou have such lovely keepsakes!!
ReplyDeleteCandy, beautiful table, per normal! :) I still can't get over your tablecloth collection, love this one. Beautiful keepsake wooden village too, Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour snowy villages are so much fun. My grandmother had that same (or very similar) set at her house for us to play with as children, but sadly it was lost in the fire when their house burned. Thank you for sharing yours as I loved seeing it again. And I wish I could say snow is a distant memory, but it's been coming down here off and on for several days. Nothing is sticking, though.
ReplyDeleteYou always have the prettiest tables!!! I love the little village blocks. And the tablecloth is just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by to visit my "snow" country!
ReplyDeleteIt's as close as I care to be to snow .... to many years of walking to school in it and then living in that part of the country with my kids. Being locked up inside with kids during Chicago winters is a thing that nightmares come from!LOL
We're only a couple hours from Tahoe and snow country, but I only go to the mountains in the SUMMER!
Hope to see you all agin soon,
Candy
