I'm joining Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps On The Porch
Vintage Thingies Thursday over at Coloradolady with my vintage
tablecloth, milk pitcher and the 1942 lyrics to "Rosie The Riveter"
Jenny Matlock is presenting the letter "K" for Alphabe-Thursday this week.
"K" is for my KITCHEN where The Little Round Table struts its stuff!
You can read more about my kitchen at:
These were produced for the Homer Laughlin China Collectors Association and were inspired by the polka dot bandana of Rosie the Riveter. The 2010 exclusive pitcher design celebrates the year 1942 with "Rosie the Riveter." The pitcher is produced in white and it is decorated in seven glazes. Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of the United States, representing millions of American women who traded their aprons for overalls during World War II, many of whom worked in factories and manufacturing plants that produced munitions and war supplies. Limited edition of 300 available only to members.
Here are the "Dots" making their first appearance on TLRT.
Shown on a vintage cloth with White Fiesta berry bowls, Cambridge patterned flatware, red tumblers and napkins from Home Goods, Blue Hobnail from Anthropologie. The contemporary Sapphire Fiesta pieces shown were not officially produced so are rare.
Vintage Homer Laughlin Christmas milk pitcher.

This is so funny... as I scroll down to see the next picture, the dots on your plates look like they are moving too. It took me by surprise at first, and then made me a little dizzy (I get vertigo easily). Isn't that wild?
ReplyDeleteYou tasteful and clever way of mixing snowflakes, dots and checks in red and white is absolutely captivating. The ballance of color and pattern is perfection! And the darling tablecloth with it's happy dots looks like it was just made especially for this tablescape.
This tablescape is a Christmas treasure.
Yvonne

Good Morning Polka Dot Lovers!!
ReplyDeleteI am still just ga-ga for the new Fiesta DOTS!
They will work well for lots of holidays ... Valentine's Day, Presidents' Day, 4th of July or any day you just feel like a POLKA DOT!
Let's see .... the flatware is by Cambridge, the same company that made the Halloween mixed set in white, orange and black that I found at Home Goods. I found the red set on the internet after a lot of searching. Google "Cambridge Red Dot Gingham". There is another Cambridge Gingham set as I recall that comes in other colors. I think the place I finally got it was ginnys.com or something like that.
Raggedy - I'm so glad to be an enabler. :-)
And the NAUGHTY ornament is my favorite of all time. I laugh every time I pass by it!
