It's time again for Vintage Thingies Thursday
over at Coloradolady
Be sure to check out all the fabulous vintage things shared in the links.
This vintage punch bowl was produced by The Homer Laughlin China Company
early in the 20th century. It's large size makes it pretty impractical for anything
other than a very large party. I normally use it for things that need to be iced
on a buffet table. Fill with ice, set in a glass bowl or plate filled with shrimp or
devilled eggs. I've also used it at a "sundae" station to hold pre-made balls
of ice cream. Works great and really makes a nice presentation.
what a stunning bowl! Love the tiny shamrocks...

Oh, I'm sure having a , "I need a glass of punch!", afternoon ....... I'll have to settle for some juice I think. Power tools in the garden and punch are not a good combo!

What a great bowl- And a good idea to use it as an ice station for perishable goodies.
ReplyDeleteHi Stacey -
ReplyDeleteNow that I think about it ..... I do love ice cream more than I love punch. I think I will just rename it "the big ice cream bowl." LOL
