Welcome to another edition of Tablescape Thursday
with our hostess Susan from Between Naps On The Porch
And I'm also joining the Rednesday party over at
It's A Very Cherry World for an unusual Easter tablescape.
This is NOT the usual pastels!
Not Easter Island .....
A table fit for Easter "island style." Think sandy beach, warm
ocean breezes, swaying palms and an icy cocktail.
Fuzzy bunnies are from Pier 1. Just toooo cute!
Tropical bird ceramic napkin rings came from eBay.
The colorful ceramic condiment tray also mimics some of the Fiesta colors, but
again is an import and not Fiesta.
These vintage nesting bowls are again not Fiesta.
Possibly Hall "Radiant" ware or Gaco look-alikes.
Wooden salad serving set is from South Africa.
Hand carved wooden pitcher and matching cups are from Jamaica,
the woven tray is from South Africa.
Striped candles were 2 for $1 from The Dollar Tree Store.
Acrylic green chargers, Rosenthal "Medallion" dinner plate, decorative salad plates
from Pier 1. The divided fruit tray in the basket holder is from Target a couple of
years ago. It closely mimics some of the Post 86 Fiesta colors and the shape of the
vintage Fiesta divided relish tray, but is an imported look-a-like. Flatware and
napkins are from Home Goods, glassware and salt and pepper from Pier 1.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun! So colorful. The fuzzy bunny just sneaked right in!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll drop by AtticMag and see the designer tablescapes Jane saw in NYC.
So colorful & tropical! Your divided tray reminds me of the vintage Fiesta one my mother had. She sold it in a garage sale about 7 yrs ago. I about lost my religion when she said she got $25 for it. UGH! Someone got a deal.

ReplyDeleteYour table is tropical and festive(ware)! Did you put that arrangement together? It is so beautiful. I giggled outloud when I saw those darling tropical bird salt and pepper shakers! So cute. Your dinner plates make such a bold island statement. I bet you use them all summer. They are beautiful and fun!
ReplyDeleteThe carved wooden pitcher from Jamica is the stand-out. along with the serving pieces from South Africa. It's authentic tribal feel gives this table a true island look. Such a great table!

ReplyDeleteEaster Island table! I love it, what fun. I am having two tables to set for easter, I am definitly going to set the kitchen table in this tropical theme and watch the kids try to figure out why. I may even buy a few statues to grace the table.
ReplyDeletethanks for the idea,
Mari
I always look forward to your posts, because I love color. Your tablescapes are gorgeous, and you are so creative at mixing and matching china and linens to produce a beautiful setting.
ReplyDeleteYour Easter "Island" table is gorgeous! I love the bright tropical colors and it works! I have to find some fuzzy bunnies, also. Each tablescape you do is great and I enjoy every one. Thanks for sharing your great collection of Fiesta and other patterns with us!!
ReplyDeleteReally a beautiful table. Love the plates and flower arrangement!
ReplyDeleteOh my.....I think you all liked this one!!
ReplyDeleteI was getting a little tired of all the pastels and on a whim put this together! I love it because you can make this anything you want it to be! Easter, Christmas, tropical dinner, beat the winter blues party.....I think it would pick up our spirits anytime!
Yvonne - this is the best kind of arrangement. :-) The silk stems are sitting in my "Sun Tea" jar. I stuck in about 12 stems, added the bunnies and that's the entire story! They did it all themselves by just being pretty. LOL
Candy
Your statues of Easter Island caught my eye as I recently posted about them. I really love the mystery of the statues. My students and I read a short story about them every year. Your photos are great:)
ReplyDeleteI absolutly adore does plates!
ReplyDeleteI love all the bright colors! Very different and sharp!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies, I do appreciate you stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThis table would be perfect for today, raining and dreary this morning, but we're supposed to have some sun this afternoon. Forecasting a soggy week in the garden.....sigh.
Candy
