Susan over at Between Naps On The Porch is hosting another Tablescape Thursday,
my favorite day of the week!
Today's tablescape is all about Red Stripe Fiesta, which has appeared in a couple of
earlier posts here on The Little Round Table. More information on the origin of these
pieces can be found on the following two links:
A mix of vintage Red Stripe Fiesta and contemporary pieces produced for the Homer Laughlin China Collectors Association adorn this vintage tablecloth that looks like it was made to go with this pattern. The divided relish tray is vintage Manhattan glass, as are the small underplates. The flatware is vintage Deauville, while the tumblers are from Target, napkins from Crate and Barrel, and napkin rings from Bed Bath Beyond. Can you spot the one piece of vintage Red Stripe on the table?

And without changing out much at all you can get a lot of different looks from the
same tablecloth mixing vintage with contemporary pieces.
Post86 Fiesta in Sapphire, vintage George and Martha from the 1939 World's Fair,
glassware from Home Goods and Pier 1.

Thanks for stopping by for another Tablescape Thursday, I do appreciate it!
Candy, what a fun Fiesta Tablescape! I think your polka dots and stripes are just delightful together and your touch of contemporary, perfect! It's about time that I stop in for a frosty drink, it's Fiesta time~

The last time you used the Mexicana dishes my aunt saw them and said she had an entire set! You always inspire me with the way you put things together. You've helped me really get into the joy of Fiesta. Thanks so much for sharing your love with us.
ReplyDeleteWow, does this table pop and it keeps on popping with all the change outs you use. Beautiful as always!

Oh Candy! My very favorite kind of table...red stripe and Manhattan! I love the mixing of the vintage and post 86! The cream soup bowl and the footed salad are especially divine.
ReplyDeleteMerci!
Oh how perfect. Each setting is just gorgeous. I havn't ever seen the yellow dishes with the red stripes, I love them. The pitcher is just fabulous. All of the variations are stunning. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLove the Manhattan ... and that plate with the train is fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is so over the top wonderful! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteI love all the combinations!!
ReplyDeleteCandy you are truly amazing. Your tables are always so original and beautiful. But then you go and give us more choices....its fabulous. I must say Im a fan of the contemporary Home Goods plates...the gold scrolldesign did it for me. Thanks for sharing and inspiring as always.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for coming by and for your lovely comments! Remember to play with your dishes, you'll come up with combinations that your rational and logical mind might not have thought of!
ReplyDeleteSee you all soon I hope.
Candy
thank you for showing us all the options. It's always nice to imagine the pieces in a different configuration. I love the stripe!!! Red and white is absolutely one of my favs.
ReplyDeleteCandy, I love the red and white striped pattern, and it goes perfectly with both the vintage tablecloth AND the (presumably much newer!) Target glasses. I learn so much from you!
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is a prefect cloth for the red stripes! Still searchin...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 1st anniversary!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your versatile tablescape -- I adore all your "quick change" tablescaping artistry -- and your vintage tablecloth sings to my love of vintage linens.
ReplyDeleteEach variation on a theme is charming, inviting and warm. Love them all! And, loving vintage linens as I do, loved this cloth - what a masterful match! Thanks! Congratulations, too, on your first anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your glowing remarks on this table!! Those Red Stripe plates are just plain sexy!
ReplyDeleteTricia - I think Target still has these. They come in polka dots, stripes, BIG polka dots .... I think they were $7 for 4! Such a deal and they work great with vintage stuff, but are a size that works for our hefty thirsts these days!
