It's time for Vignette Fridays at Color Outside the Lines!
I'm joining Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps On The Porch.
Jump on over and check out all the amazing tables!
Hydrangeas are pretty in just about all their stages, from fresh and dewy all the way to
the point that they dry on the plant. I always let the ones I've picked for the house dry naturally
in the vase as the water evaporates. Love the muted colors as they turn to those lovely
shades that remind me of a classic "old-timey" look.
This vintage tablecloth depicts not only hydrangeas, but also morning glories.
Some green depression glass, Pier 1 napkin rings, polka dot tumblers from Target,
Home Goods napkins and ivory/white accessory pieces, mini cloches from Tuesday Morning.
The milk pitcher is vintage Homer Laughlin, flatware is vintage Deauville
The dinnerware is a mix of Post86 Fiesta in Juniper, Rose, Sunflower and white,
along with a short lived line also from Homer Laughlin, called Fiestaware2000
shown here in Juniper dinner plates.
Vintage German berry bowls

ReplyDeleteI always like coming here and seeing your combination of Fiestaware...you always set such vibrant tables and they are a treat to peak at! Love the individual cloches too. I can't grow hydrangeas where I live, but I LOVE them! Joni
ReplyDeleteLove the tablescape...particularly the hydrangeas in the individual dessert cloches. I'm going to try that idea with mine. Thank you for sharing another charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteWhat a great late summer table! The colors are muted, but colors are still summer tones.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely table, as usual. That silver vase is perfect for the hydrangeas. I really must have some of the dessert cloches!!!
ReplyDeleteI used to say, "I'm not a PINK person!" These vintage tablecloths just suck you right in with their pretty colors .... and so many of them contain a lot of PINK! So I guess I am a PINK person afterall. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you for coming by ..... Hydrangeas are a mainstay in my garden, always their in one form or another to fill out a bouquet during every season of the year.

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my Hydrangea tablescape! This is a particular favorite vintage cloth, but then I say that about all of them!
ReplyDeleteSarah - ALL of those cutout pieces are inexpensive buys from Home Goods! A great way to give a vintage feel, but not worry about daily use of running them through the dishwasher. I just love them!
