Pink Hydrangeas

Jump on over and check out all the amazing tables!

Hydrangeas are pretty in just about all their stages, from fresh and dewy all the way to
the point that they dry on the plant.  I  always let the ones I've picked for the house dry naturally
in the vase as the water evaporates.  Love the muted colors as they turn to those lovely
shades that remind me of a classic "old-timey" look.

This vintage tablecloth depicts not only hydrangeas, but also morning glories.
Some green depression glass, Pier 1 napkin rings, polka dot tumblers from Target,
Home Goods napkins and ivory/white accessory pieces, mini cloches from Tuesday Morning.
The milk pitcher is vintage Homer Laughlin, flatware is vintage Deauville

The dinnerware is a mix of Post86 Fiesta in Juniper, Rose, Sunflower and white,
along with a short lived line also from Homer Laughlin, called Fiestaware2000
shown here in Juniper dinner plates.

Vintage German berry bowls

Thanks so much for coming by to see my tablescape again this week,
I hope to see you here on The Little Round Table again very soon.

First Glimpse of Fall, As The Sun Sets on the Amber Forest Floor

I'm joining Marty our lovely hostess over at A Stroll Through Life for another
edition of Tabletop Tuesday.  Come bring your tabletop creations and join the party!

Paprika Mushrooms - Edit 8/26/10 that was the original title of this post,
but my readers came up with some better suggestions!

I'm about all tapped out in the creative "name this post" department after the week long frenzy of the TLRT first anniversary.  The tablecloth is stylized flowers in muted colors (it's in the Tablecloth Database ) that has kind of a deco look to it, but about the only distinctive thing on the table is the little set of salt and pepper shakers I picked up last year on Etsy. And the newest Post86 Fiesta dinnerware color ..... Paprika!

So that's what I'm calling this tablescape. It has a bit of a Fall feel to it .... but could easily be a reflection of this hot dry time of year here in Northern California.  The native grasses are tinder dry and many plants are resting until the cooler days come around in a few weeks.

Can you come up with a better name for this tablescape???

Post 86 Fiesta in Ivory, Paprika and Pearl Gray, stemware, napkin rings and napkins
from Pier 1, tumblers from Home Goods, flatware from Macy's, and the large bowl and
disc pitcher are vintage. The disc pitcher is vintage Yellow Fiesta, while the large bowl
is done in Antique Gold for the Ironstone line of Fiesta done from 1967-1972.

Thanks for coming by again this week for Tabletop Tuesday.
I'll be back with another tablescape on Thursday for BNOTP and Tablescape Thursday.

The Olive Garden

I'm linking up to Centerpiece Wednesday over at Style Sisters,
drop on by to see all the pretty things!

My dish buddy and fellow vintage tablecloth enthusiast Daphne from Tabletop Time
sent me the sweetest surprise package for the 1st Anniversary of The Little Round Table!

She is such a sweetheart. The package held a set of darling olive napkin rings, an extremely
pretty little olive country plate and a new cute card of one of her kitty boys and her table!
I can't tell whether it is Sparkle or Fizz, they are both very handsome boys.
Thanks so much Daphne, dish buddies are just the best.

Kitty checking out the posies.

They look good enough to eat.

And the perfect little accessory plate for The Olive Garden!

I picked a bouquet from the garden and pulled out what I knew would be the perfect vintage tablecloth to accompany all the pretties Daphne sent me.

Vintage Fiesta Amberstone Disc Water Pitcher and Marmalade Jar.

Thanks Daphne!

I'm joining in on Mosaic Monday with a compilation of images from Daphne's Oilve Garden tablescape.  Come join the fun over at Little Red House!
