I'm joining the Silver Sunday get together over at Gypsy Fish Journal
come on over with your treasures!
What a crazy day! One of those crazy fun days that became a series of stops and starts.
An invitation to join a new meme over at Color Outside the Lines called Vignette Fridays.
A vignette on a moment's notice!
So here's what you get ...... the beginnings of salad makings, but as I said I was interrupted
by another invitation from Mr. TLRT to take the day off and go wandering. You'll have to
invent the rest of the salad yourself and please do pull out of nice bottle of wine from the cooler.
There's freshly baked bread cooling on the rack ...... we'll be back later!
Are these just the cutest little "silver" measuring spoons or what?
Hurray for Mr. TLRT! We'll have this salad ready by the time you get home!
ReplyDeleteFiesta colors once again make an appearance to create a lovely vignette. Hope you enjoyed your outing. I can almost smell the fresh baked bread...
ReplyDeleteCould you tell us about the spoon set sometime? They're wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCandy, you create the most wonderful table settings/vignettes! I love it!! The cruets, tray and spoon set are gorgeous and I love how you grouped everything together! I hope you and Mr. TLRT had a great adventure!
ReplyDeleteOh it's PERFECT!!! Thank you so much for putting this together so quickly! I know I was pretty late asking - but so glad you participated!!! It's just lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Candy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty vignette. Those tomatoes shout Summer!
Good Morning vignette lovers!
ReplyDeleteIt was a magical day ..... just goes to show that magic does still exist after 47 years together.
Thanks for stopping by for this newest of the weekly memes, perhaps doing it on an impromptu basis is the way to go! LOL

Oh forgot to post about the spoons!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe they came from my favorite local Ace Hardware, which has the most wonderful housewares department with all kinds of high end goodies and a selection of "old timey" gadgets from back in Grandma's day! They are measuring spoons and came in all kinds of designs and sets.

ReplyDeleteCandy
PS Laura - I didn't receive an email from you, so you might want to try again.
Candy, your salad interrupted vignette is charming. It's always a treat to see your kitchen. Are those Fiesta shakers in the wire chicken? Clever idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way over to Vignette Fridays. This is new to me, but sounds like another fun meme. ~ Sarah
Thanks Sarah!
ReplyDeleteYep, those would be vintage Salt and Pepper shakers and they've lived in that hen for about 10 years. Recently they lived on top of the cabinets, until I took them down to give the hen a coat of Strawflower paint. And what a mess they were ..... hard to see all that dust from down at counter level!! Now all shiny and clean again.....whew.
