It's always just plain yummy!
It's HOT HOT HOT here in Northern California and I'm loving it.
Breakfast and lunch are pleasant on the side patio before the sun comes around.
Dinner is also doable, but must be fashionably late to avoid the late afternoon sun and heat.
This is all about a planned weekend breakfast for six. Waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon
and lots of fresh fruit to choose from. The strawberries will have to be store bought,
as two of my grandkids were here this weekend and cleaned out the latest crop of
strawberries from my garden. We'll start out with Mimosas and then move on to a
fruit course, followed by traditional breakfast items.
I've mixed in my Portmeirion "Pomona" with imported chargers, plates, flatware and napkins from Home Goods, stemware from Pier 1, candle holders from Tuesday Morning, and the little stoneware vases came from Michaels many years ago.

ReplyDeleteLove the strawberries ... and your combination. I have those plates and never thought of mixing gold glassware with them ... but that really pulls out the yellow tones. Perfect!

ReplyDeleteCandy, I can only repeat my words: an eye-candy, but that's what I expected. I love the green glass on the candleholders and the amber stemware. And the green flatware catch exactly the hue of the strawberry plates. Thats looks so good. Portmeirion Pomona ist always one of my favorties, the colors are so warm and I love the botanical look.

What a beautiful table you set this week. I absolutely adore the white charger plates and the strawberry plates. What beautiful details. It sounds like you love to treasure hunt too at all these great stores. The music was lovely and fit the tablescape. Thanks for sharing.

I like how you intertwined the green theme throughout your tablescape to compliment the strawberries. The design of your green plates and the napkins are artful expressions of the strawberry stems. Of course, the strawberries are a work of art in their own right; I just love strawberries.

Thank you all for your generous comments on my table this week, I do appreciate it! The strawberries are rebounding from the "harvest" my grandchildren did last weekend and I'm enjoying them each day again!
