Carnival is a lesser known line of Homer Laughlin colored dinnerware.
It was packaged in oats as premiums, along with other lines of dinnerware like
Homer Laughlin's OvenServe kitchen ware.

You have some really nice piece of vintage dinner ware. I was not aware that the Carnival name was associated with Homer Laughlin.

ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful! Its fantastic that you have the original boxes that the chinaware came in. Carnival is so lovely-I had no idea it was Homer Laughlin or that it came in oatmeal boxes! My family always eats oatmeal for breakfast in the winter-how great would it be if Carnival still came in the boxes!

What pretty dishes! So festive. In fact, the Carnival dishes remind me of Fiestaware. I have my great grandmother's set.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection! My everyday dishes are the imitation fiestaware sold at K-mart and Target (25 or so years ago?) until they got sued for copyright infringement! And that was before Fiesta ware was made again.

ReplyDeleteThis line of dinnerware is fairly easy to find, although they do tend to show wear and tear more easily than Fiesta, which was also made in the same time frame by Homer Laughlin.
