Happy St Patrick's Day!
Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh
Just little touches of St Pat decor on this vintage tablecloth, which could be easily removed for a Spring tablescape. A mix of vintage and new items make for a bright and cheery table. Details at the end of this post.
A traditional St Patrick's Day meal of cabbage, boiled potatoes
and corned beef simmered until fork tender.
Thanks so much for stopping by for this very green holiday table!

I love the checkerboard effect of the tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteI am always in awe of your tablescapes. They inspire me to try new things and be creative. It also doesn't hurt that this one is so bright and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Such a fun and cheery cloth and corned beef is a favorite of mine .... Mr. TLRT is not fond of it, but grudgingly eats it with me only once each year. The leftovers were just awesome on some toasted artisan crunchy oatmeal bread with mustard from Mendocino!
ReplyDeleteMartha - I picked up the little crown bowls (which for this meal held mustards and horseradish, but work great for any dipping sauce or condiment) at Michael's about a month ago. Found them back in the "garden" section where all the faux topiaries and wire cage thingies are. Have no idea what their intended purpose was, but they are super as a "ramekin."
Theresa - Since I set a table daily and have done so for decades, the setting part is a snap at maybe 15 minutes. Making sure I have nothing goofy going on ..... like missing spoons, unlit candles and removing all the debris from the counters ..... takes another 15 minutes.
The photos take maybe 10 minutes at the most and I generally take from 75-100 images. So 30-40 minutes to set, clean up, and photo a table, which is usually done while I'm working on dinner set-up or emptying the dishwasher.
Then an additional hour or so to process and choose which images to include. That part I do whenever I get a chance and usually have ready to go several days in advance ..... which is why we had our St Pat's dinner this past Sunday. :-)
Again thank you all for coming by, I do appreciate it.

ReplyDeleteReally like the yellow glassware touches...when I became interested in Depression ware, my color choice was amber. Your green accents just bring the whole table together for Spring.
