The Little Pine Washstand

Tuesday has rolled around again, so that must mean it is time again for

This little antique pine child's washstand is in our guest bathroom.
The top lifts up and makes a convenient place to store extra soaps, TP, and linens.

I love the little towels with the ferns on them.  When I purchased them about ten years ago,
I didn't have a lot of confidence that they would hold up well. The fern applique is some sort of matte plastic, but after many launderings they are just like new.

  1. Oh, I love the architectural Euro sketchings. I am so drawn to them and have a few of my own. I also see you have the water carafe and glass. I have one in my guest room. You do not see a lot of them. Yours is very pretty. Thanks for joining in this weeks TT. Have a blessed week, Barb

  6. Hi Candy...

Ohhh...I love your pine wash stand and you're right, it would be so nice to have the extra storage space in the bath! My friend, you decorated it beautifully...I love the frenchy look and feel of this vignette! I love the sketch...gorgeous! Ohhh...and those beautiful bottles...the ornate design on them is soooo pretty! Wherever did you find those? I would love to have some! Such a beautiful vignette! So many times the bath is the "forgotten" room, as far as vignettes go...but not at your place!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!

    Warmest winter wishes,

  10. Good Morning from RAINY California!

Yes, the rain is a good thing.....but I think we need to start working on an ark about now!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your nice comments.

Daphne - That is a bracelet and it is silver too! Was a family piece and probably dates to the late 40s, but I'm only guessing.

The little glass decanters and the water flask are pretty, but certainly NOT old. Well, depends on what you call old LOL. They are from a catalog, not even high end, maybe something like Solutions about 20 years ago. :-)
