Do You Polka-Dot?

Strike up the music and join all the fun over at Between Naps On The Porch and do the happy dance with all the other tablescapers for Tablescape Thursday!

No dashes here, just lots and lots of dots ..... polka dots!
They always seem so cheery to me, so think circus or carnival or perhaps even a Fiesta!

The tablecloth is of unknown origin, may be vintage, but I'm leaning more to a European contemporary linen.  Post 86 Sunflower dinner plates, with salad plates from Pier 1.

The flatware is vintage CutRite, glassware is also vintage.  The polka-dot water bottle came from Crate and Barrel years ago.  All the other Fiesta is vintage, including the demitasse pot (aka chocolate pot) with the matching stick handled demitasse cups and saucers.  Vintage Red creamer and Yellow sugar sit on the Turquoise Figure 8 Tray, Yellow Bud Vase, Sweets Comport (aka compote) and finally the vintage Light Green and Yellow salt and pepper shakers.  Napkins came from Bed Bath Beyond if I remember correctly.

01/21/10 EDITED TO ADD:
Thanks to Rettabug for the ID on my green depression glassware that I use so often
here on TLRT!
Anchor Hocking's "Pillar Optic" design, sometimes called "Logs" or "Log Cabin"

And thanks to Daphne for catching my late night error - the flatware is "Quikut" not CutRite!
Thanks D!

Light Green demitasse cup and saucer.

Cobalt demitasse cup and saucer.

And if you like a wilder and crazier polka, this might be more your style.....
bigger, wilder, brighter polka dot napkins are from Pier 1.

  10. What a happy~happy table, Candy! Makes me smile just to look at it. :D

Your green depression tumblers appear to be Anchor Hocking's "Pillar Optic" design, sometimes called "Logs" or "Log Cabin". According to my book, each one is worth approx. $14.
I have been saving my green depression glass to do a St. Patrick's Day tablescape but seeing yours incorporated so nicely here, I may not wait any longer.

  17. Love this tablescape. I just was telling my girlfriend this morning that I should have bought those polka dot dishes when I saw them at Pier 1...but I was trying to be thrifty....so much for that! Your table is absolutely full of life! Great job!

  20. Oh my.....lots of readers with their dancing shoes ready for a Polka - Dot! Thanks for all your lovely remarks about this table! Trying to bring some cheer into a long spell of total DRABNESS with these monsoons.

And I shouldn't be writing the text late at night, as Daphne caught me calling the flatware CutRite instead of "Quikut" .....I'll correct the text. Thanks Daphne!

Rettabug - Thanks for the ID on the glassware, I bought them on eBay from a seller who didn't know which of a couple of patterns they were and I'm a total novice when it comes to depression glass. So I really do appreciate the ID!

ceekay - When I was at my Pier 1 last week they still had the polka dots and they were 20% off! Run quick! I just wish they had made more pieces in this line. As I recall it was only dinners, salads, a tall mug....maybe fat little cereal bowls?

I hope you all check in for Foodie Friday tomorrow for another tablescape!
