Tell Me A Story

I'm joining Silver Sunday over at Gypsy Fish Journal

Tell me a story about what you see.
And give me some period music to accompany your tale.

Thanks for coming by again for Silver Sunday, I hope to see you again soon.

  1. Which accessories should she choose as she sits cooling by the fan? So many pretty choices!

  2. Her wrinkled hands carefully placed each piece just so. While she held each one she thought of his words as he gave them to her. The fan had cooled their home in the days before air conditioning......

Glen Miller's A String of Pearls played on the old record player.

  3. Hi Candy,
I am not familiar with the songs, but I could imagine a story like:
The evening was very hot and the fan colled her face. "Are you ready, dear?", he asked from downstairs. "Soon!" she said in honeyed tones. "I am so unsecure what to wear to my dress." He came upstairs and looked full of love at her. "You can wear everything, nobody will have eyes for that because your beauty will blend everybody". She giggled and answered: "I take the diamonds, because diamonds are the girls best friends!" ...

O.K. we stop here and everybody finish the story for himself.
    Cute idea. Greetings, Johanna

  5. Thanks everyone! Pretty much the same vision I had of times past, dressing for that special night out. This did inspire me to look for a favorite silvery party dress from long ago that I stored away. If I can get my act together as the holidays approach, I have plans for that dress to transform into decorations for the Christmas tree. :-)
