Sunday Favorites: A Nutcracker Christmas Eve

Chari's Sunday Favorites is the perfect chance to revisit this post from last year's
Christmas season.  Stop over at Happy To Design to visit some other favorites from the past.

I'm also joining Seasonal Sundays over at The Tablescaper,
stop by and see all the bloggers' views of this season.

I'm checking to see if all you little girls and boys have been behaving over the last year and
Santa is checking his list for boys and girls who have been especially good this year.
I'm checking my list to see if you are reading this post carefully too!
I will be announcing a giveaway of a "Nutcracker" tablecloth in the near future.
Would you like to win this tablecloth for your holiday table?
Leave a comment that mentions you'd like to win this tablecloth here on this post,
if you'd like to be among the first to be entered in the drawing.
You need to be a follower on my sidebar to be eligible!

Visions of sugar plums, ballerinas and toys under the Christmas tree join my childhood Nutcracker from a recent Show and Tell Friday on this vintage tablecloth depicting the scenes and characters from "The Nutcracker."

Italian glass chargers, Scarlet Post 86 Fiesta and Williams Sonoma salad plates.  Stemware from Pier 1, flatware from Macy's, napkins and napkin rings from Crate and Barrel in the late 80s.

Thank you for stopping by again this week, more tablescapes coming up this week so
please check back again soon.

  3. Hi Candy...

Now I'm humming the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies tune! Hehe! Well my dear lady, what a beautiful Christmas post! Ohh...I wished that you could have heard all of my ooohs and aaahs when I seen your fabulous tree! It's truly magnificent! I could just sit for hours and checking out all of the pretties on that tree! And...your Nutcracker tablescape is awesome! I started collecting nutcrackers a few years ago...I don't have many but there is just something about them! When I was in Europe four years ago, I decided to at least pick up a nutcracker from each country that we traveled to. I just adore those pretty nutcracker plates...oooh! Ohh my...and the nutcracker tablecloth is fabulous!!! I love it! Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous Christmas tree and table with us for Sunday Favorites this week!!! It won't be long till Christmas!

Have a super Sunday, my friend!

  7. Well it was really unclear that this is a SOON TO BE ANNOUNCED giveaway because of the way I positioned the text!

So I've rearranged the text and if you are a follower on the side bar all of you are IN even if you didn't intend to be! LOL

And why am I up at this O'Dark thirty hour you ask? Well the power has been out and just came back on .... TV blasting, smoke detectors re-setting themselves, the ice maker making some horrible whirring noise, printers re-setting themselves, cat howling to get out away from all the noise!

I think I'll go back to bed.

  18. Thanks everyone, the Nutcracker tablecloth is just itching to go to it's new home. I think I'll be posting the give-away for the first of the holiday tables to be posted on Wed Dec 1st with the give-away ending with the following Tuesday's tablescape. So stay tuned and your names are all in the bucket!

Brenda - The flatware is by Cambridge and is called Red Dots or Red Dots Gingham. I found it online through Google.

I have great plans for my tree this year, a whole different look from last year (which is pretty much my every year tree!)....we'll see if I can get my act together and pull it together in time. :-)

  22. Hi Donna!

Our favorite tablecloth! (For those of you who don't know, Donna won this same tablecloth in a pre-holiday giveaway here on TLRT!)

I used it yesterday after all, but no photo op this year. Hoping it will make a comeback for next season's holiday tablescapes.
