Starlight Christmas Supper - Christmas 2009

Stop by over at Smiling Sally for another edition of Blue Monday

I'm joining Chari's weekly party Sunday Favorites over at Happy To Design.  Come join in and share one of your favorite posts from the past.

Today's tablescape is all about bright colors and starlight.  Purchased fabric for the tablecloth, with one of my favorite decals on White Post 86 Fiesta, Chartreuse Fiesta dinnerplates and cut-work chargers.  The Sapphire salt and pepper sitting on the Chartreuse relish tray with the little Sapphire pitcher are all "not officially produced" pieces and are hard to come by.  The vintage Kitchen Kraft mixing bowl in the center was a promotional piece for Sherwood Rye.

Thanks for coming by to visit The Little Round Table again this week.
Please stop back this coming week for a couple of Fall/Thanksgiving tables.

  1. Candy, I am not a blue person at all but all you gals decorating these tablescapes in blue are starting to twist my thinking toward it ... ABSOLUTELY AWESOME ... I love it.

    Have a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday

  5. Hi Candy...

My friend, I think that "Starlight" perfectly describes your beautiful table! What a pretty tablecloth...the sapphire blue just causes all of your pretty dishes to shine! Love, love, LOVE the Christmas salad plates and the chartreuse plates...sooo pretty! One of the first things that my eyes landed on...was that bowl full of sparkley white stars! Gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous table with us for Sunday Favorites!

    Warmest Thanksgiving wishes...

  8. I can't belive I missed this the first time around. Thank you for reposting. This is an awesome decal. Was this an exclusive to the factory or a store? I went thru "The Dish" for the article on decals but didn't see this in there. Love the music too.

  15. This is absolutely stunning. I have seen the apple green showing up in stores for Christmas this year and have generally had a yuck reaction. Your use of it in this tablescape convinces me there may be a way to make it tasteful and work. The blues and stars have always been a favorite of mine, but rarely have I seen a table put together more beautifully. Very festive and inviting.

  17. Thanks everyone ..... this is still a favorite of mine from last year .... and I'm NOT a blue person either. :-)

Monica - That decal is still near the top of my list for "done well". It was an exclusive to the Federated Department stores back in 1998.

See you all again soon I hope!
