Are You Dreaming of a White Thanksgiving?

I'm linking up to Saturday Night Special over at Funky Junk Interiors for the "White" feature.

I'm pulling up a post from last November with one of my Thanksgiving tables.
If you follow my blog at all you know that it's usually all about color, so this
is a real departure for me.  I'm joining White Wednesday over at Faded Charm
for the weekly party all about white.

Are you dreaming of a White Thanksgiving?  Here's an alternative to the traditional colors of Thanksgiving with a white tablescape.  This was difficult for me, with my love of color I had to restrain myself from adding just a bit of bright color(s).

It would be simple enough  to add your own signature to this look with the addition of some color......blue or green glassware, some alternate colorful salad plates or some seasonal serving dishes.

  3. Thanks for your nice comments ladies! This would work just as well for Christmas too, with the addition of some white glittery ornaments or pine decorations. White always works for any season!

  11. Thanks everyone for your lovely comments! Oddly enough with my love of lots of COLOR, the china on this table is my wedding china and I still use it all the time, although I usually add some spiffy brightly colored salad plates to the mix. :-)

  15. Thanks for coming by ladies! bj I'll be at the White Party too! Hoping to come up with another WHITE scape, but it is so hard for me not to insert just a little COLOR! LOL

Elizabeth, we had that hutch made by an English carpenter years ago when we lived in Marin County. The framework is new pine, but all of the exterior is antique pine brought in from England.
