Goodness - what an incredibly simple, yet amazing effective idea! I never would have thought of this - it's beautiful! I am definitely going to try it, thank you for posting it.
I've turned upside down many a glass with florals but never added that awesome candle touch. FABULOUS, Candy. The rosettes are actually simple ... that's the only thing my simple mind can do is simple things.
Take your ribbon, the kind you use to gift wrap with ... double thread your needle ... just take any size running stitches through either the top or the middle of the ribbon. When you get the rosette to the size you desire. pull the thread to gather it all up, grab both ends & pinch together. I just took finishing stitches to hold both ends together. Then I glued it with Fabric Tac to make sure nothing comes undone or stitches breaking.
Very, very pretty! I miss setting a table, but with just the two of us we take our TV trays to watch TV while we eat. I know, that is disgraceful! HPS! Jil
Love pink and green, love candles and flowers, love this idea, very creative, thank you for sharing with us, I will definitely be using this one. Happy PS.
What a great idea, loved it!! I have put candles inside the glasses, as candle holders, but never thought of turning them upside down like that. Super! thanks for sharing, blessings, Nellie
