Happy Tablescape Thursday!
I'm joining Susan over at Between Naps On The Porch for her weekly
tablescaping party. Come join in on the fun!
The newest Fiesta color Paprika is now in production and has been released to retailers.
Mixed reviews from some collectors, but I'm very pleased with this new addition to the
color lineup. It will be a great color to add to the Fall hues, but also works really well
when added to a summery tablescape.
Here it is by itself.
And shown with other color choices, as I began to come up with a combination
for my first tablescape incorporating Paprika.
Shown with different combintations of Persimmon, Chocolate, Sunflower,
Chartreuse, Lemongrass, Tangerine and Shamrock.
I think they all play together nicely, but for this particular vintage tablecloth,
I chose the combination below. Paprika dinner plate, Chartreuse luncheon plate,
Tangerine salad plate and the berry bowl in Sunflower.
I chose to skip the flower vase and napkins for this tablescape so that I could highlight
the color combination itself. Shown with glassware from Target, flatware from Home Goods.
The tablecloth is vintage with large "Paprika" hued poppies as its main design element.
I'm really liking the new color and look forward to incorporating it in future tablescapes.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always! When my nephew and his wife married a few years ago, she chose Fiestaware and opted not to have a formal china pattern on the bridal registry.
ReplyDeleteShe still loves it, but wants to start a collection of a different color. They've recently moved to a new house (well, an 80s house they've comepletely remodeled) and she thinks her new kitchen calls for a warmer color. I'm not sure if she said she wants paprika or tangerine. I'll send her to have a look at your wonderful blog for ideas and inspiration!

I absolutely LOVE this! Orange is my theme color this year, and I have given myself permission to enjoy every hue of it. This color is simply beautiful IMO, and your pairings are lovely.

I'm all in favor of the new color. I don't have any Fiesta Ware, but would love to have a cabinet full. I fondly remember my aunt's kitchen filled with these colorful dishes. ~ Sarah
