This is "Fall Fantasy" Post 86 Fiesta topped with Tangerine salad plates on a vintage tablecloth by California Hand Prints. The texture of the cloth is unlike my other CHP cloths and resembles huck towling. Vintage Fiesta Amberstone disc pitcher and marmalade in the Royal Chrome rack. Turf Green and Antique Gold small platters are vintage Fiesta. Flatware is vintage 1960 Dansk stainless with rosewood handles.
The glass chargers are from Tuesday Morning @$1 each! The candle holders are old wooden spinning spools. Napkins from Pier 1, napkin rings from Bed Bath Beyond, glassware, patterned Melamine leaf bowl and leaf plates from Home Goods.
Hi Candy, What an eye you have. To put together those colors and elements in a way that is vintage and updated chic. Very, very well done! I really have enjoyed visiting.
ReplyDeleteThis table is something special.

Love your fall table -- I think the colors of fall and think they make for a pretty table.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and table settings. I "feel" like I'm right in the room getting ready to sit down to eat. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way those orange plates just set off the larger plates, so pretty and I love the way you have put it all together, what a talent
ReplyDeleteHi Candy , You know I love Fiesta... I love the way you pulled this table together... I may be a little slow but would you please tell me what you mean by Post 86 Fiesta? Thank so much

This is a darling table. I love the dots! I never would have put this all together. It really is cute though. I love the whole thing! :)

Lovely tablescape...quite charming. Well done :o)
ReplyDeleteLovely fall table. I love the punch of polka dots.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning All!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked this little Fall table! More "fallish" tablescapes to come through Thanksgiving and then on to holiday tables! Can't wait to start on them once all the pumpkins and leaves and turkeys and such get put away.
I love polka dots and will use any excuse I can find to use them. :-)Found some cute polka dot plates that will be showing up soon here on The Little Round Table.
Julie - re: Post 86
I'll give you the short answer here right now, but will put together a chronology of Fiesta and post that here in the next few hours.
Fiesta collectors tend to just assume everyone knows as much as we do about these colorful dishes that were first produced in 1936, eventually went out of favor and then were revived in 1986. I don't know who first coined the term "Post 86", but to collectors it means any Fiesta that has been manufactured by Homer Laughlin since 1986.
Chickens and eggs abound for tomorrow's tablescape which will be posted later today when the linkage for Foodie Friday becomes available, so see you all then!
The fall table is wonderful, love those polka dots. I had a huge collection of original Fiestaware that I sold a few years ago. I loved it! I just grew tired of it (who knew I'd be Tablescaping) and someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I always love seeing Fiesta of any generation. Sue
ReplyDeleteLove your tablescape's and can't wait for more. You inspired me and I bought 4 pumpkin bowls for $1 each today to set a table. It's a start...now to find something to go with those bowls. If I can get it all ready i'll try to share before Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I love, love, love your table. That tablecloth is beautiful and so perfect with your dishes.
ReplyDeleteI love your Fiesta-ware. It gives your wonderful table such warmth!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is Fiesta Ware Fantasia! I love it. You really know how to put together up beat vintage looking tablescapes. I just love it every time I come here.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Thank you all for stopping by! I'm in the midst of dish chaos this weekend, moving things around and trying to put all those Fall things away .... my daughter/SIL are doing Thanksgiving this year, so all I have to do is make the turkey. Am itching to get to doing red/green/white/gold/silver...anything Christmasy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your pumpkin bowls Linda! I like the word "inspired" so much more than the normal "you are an enabler" that dish friends use around me! LOL
Still many more Fall tables coming that I have prepared for the next couple weeks so stay tuned.
