I'm not usually a fan of large flowers on vintage tablecloths, but this one is an exception. I think these are stylized magnolias. Rose, White and Black Post 86 Fiesta, Cityscape flatware, contemporary glassware. Roses from my garden.
The donkey planter/vase is also vintage and came in many colors, handpainted with gold highlights and also cold painted.
I have enjoyed looking at your colorful tablescapes for the last few days. (I am a new follower)
ReplyDeleteI can't help but think how pretty these pink dishes would look on MY table... especially with my pretty faux desserts.
I also enjoy reading about vintage tableware on your other blog the Pottery Papers.
I love your tablescapes. When you collect your dishes do you stop when you have enough for a tablesetting for four? Do you actually use your dishes?
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!

Bunny - just took a quick tour of your blog and website! Yummy stuff and I agree that your faux goodies would look fabulous on my tablescapes!!
ReplyDeleteKaren - STOP (???) with the dishes.....no that isn't the way it works! I collect vintage Fiesta and use it on occasion, but the contemporary Fiesta is something we've been using on a daily basis for over 20 years. Who knew back in 1986 when they started producing Fiesta in new colors that ther would be so many colors? So, although the tables are usually set with 4 place settings ..... there are more place settings to be had and/or mix and match. I've always said (used to have a website and old message boards) that I could open a good sized restaurant and never have to buy any dishes! I did sell off a lot of dishes last year during the holiday season .... bought a new car. :-)
Just ignore me. This is my first vsit to your blog (came over via Mosaic Monday) and now I just hav to spend some time looking around. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all your tablescapes!
Thanks Diann, stop back often there's usually a tablescape a day.
