I'm joining everyone over at My Romantic Home for another edition of Show and Tell Friday.
If you are a regular here on The Little Round Table, you probably know that I collect Fiesta
dinnerware, both vintage and Post86. Here is a part of my collection that you probably
haven't seen featured yet. Ornaments, lots of them, but by no means a complete set of all of
the ornaments that have been produced since about 1997. Some years I do decorate a
wrought iron tree with them, but a few years ago I put them on permanent display so I
could enjoy them all year long.
Thanks for stopping by!
WOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteNeat collection!
An AMAZING collection! :)

That is truly amazing. I never knew they made ornaments! What a collection.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I forgot to mention another benefit of having them in these glass fronted cabinets ..... no dust!

Really neat, it looks like that display case was made just for them! Candy, what are the round beauties on the bottom shelf?
ReplyDeleteLove to see your collection being displayed in such a neat and nice cabinet shelf. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow, really cool collection!!
ReplyDeleteVery colorful - great way to display your precious collection.
ReplyDeleteI never tire of seeing Fiesta ornaments. Got a question for you. On the third shelf from the bottom in the second photo: What is the story on the green ornament with the mug?
ReplyDeleteThey look gorgeous displayed this way. Dustless is good. :-)
This looks fantastic. I keep a few of my Fiesta ornaments out all year long also. I have them hanging on a non-Christmas looking wire tree. On a similar note, I put my magnets in a shadow box that keep them dust free also. I can't tell you enough how much I enjoy I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, I really do like having them right at my elbow.....the cabinet hangs right next to my computer desk.
ReplyDeleteBecky, it looks great from a distance....not so much up close. It was one of those experiments with vintage water-slip decals. My experience was that most of the vintage decals (at least the ones I have) are too far gone for a smooth clean bond.
Thanks Monica, I am happy to provide enjoyment for you!

Ah, thanks. I too have found the vintage decals very hard to use. They get crisp and crumbly. I have a plan though. I've scanned the old Fiesta decal sheet and have sized the individual decals so they will fit well on the ornaments. Also got some water-slide decal paper to use with photographic inkjet printers. Before I had to go to Vanderbilt last summer I had started experimenting. The first ones did not get enough of the spray-on clear coating, so they tended to run when doing the water-slide thing. Next attempt I will use more layers of the coating and not be impatient.
ReplyDeleteBecky - That whole crackly paper thing should have been my first clue. I'll be removing the test mug and giving it another try perhaps as a winter project!
