Skilton's Skink

It's Blue Monday again over at Smiling Sally's, join the hunt for BLUE.

He's a juvenile Eumeces skiltonianus, Western Skink or Skilton's Skink. Only about 4" long from nose to tail. Looks wet, but he was just very shiny with that iridescent tail. He stuck around for a few minutes and then disappeared, never to appear again. It was a blue sky and sunshine moment in the new garden.

  14. Good morning all you lovers of BLUE! He really was cute and not scary at all, since he was so tiny!! Mother Nature sure knows how to surprise us with her occaisional bursts of color in the animal world.

Thanks Joy ..... someday I'll settle on something, but for now the banner is still a moving target!
