Red and Green Thistles

The definition of "Outdoor Wednesday" is being relaxed for this holiday season, so join the fun over at A Southern Daydreamer.  I may be stretching it a bit, but this tablescape does have outdoor thistles on it. :-)

This vintage tablecloth sports red and green thistles which are pretty common as dried seed heads at this time of year.  Did you know that an artichoke is a thistle?  Let it go beyond its prime and it's as nasty as any other thistle.   Post 86 Fiesta in Juniper, Chartreuse and Pearl Gray.  Glassware from Home Goods, Deauville flatware and the cake stand is Fitz and Floyd.
