 This is a story book about Peter Rabbit that was mine as a child.
It has a copyright of 1940 by the Whitman Publishing Co., Racine, Wis.
It was illustrated by Ruth E. Newton, who was an American
illustrator and doll designer.  She was born March 6, 1884 and died May 27, 1972.

    Candy, I fondly remember your post on those precious felt dolls. This is a wonderful post in tribute to Peter Rabbit. How wonderful that you still have this charming book from your childhood.
