A Whole Bunch of Green Things

St. Patrick's Day will be here sooner rather than later.
What sort of greens will your table be wearing?
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  2. Oh, how I love stopping by today. I love everything, especially how the tablecloth brings in all the colors.

  3. Thanks ladies! The St Paddy's day music will be back in a couple days, had to switch to the Western vibe for the Surf 'n Turf event. :-)

  4. I just noticed that I have the exact same silver as you're using on this table. What a nice surprise! My set belonged to my grandmother in the 1930s. I love the pieces' art deco design and long, slender shape.

  5. The flatware is identified in this post:

    1. Thank you so much for the information, Candy. You made my day! (I loved the LHJ ad!) It never occurred to me that I'd find information about that silver pattern. Maybe I can find more pieces online now. It's a small world sometimes, isn't it?

And just because I think you might appreciate this, a picture of the china I use with that silver (and that I also inherited from my grandmother) is at http://www.replacements.com/webquote/LEGFLE.htm

Thanks again! So happy I discovered your blog.

  6. The china is lovely! And it is wonderful that you use it and remember your grandmother. :-)

I don't collect it, but just FYI Oneida also made china and crystal that matched the flatware.

  7. Beautiful china! Eighty years old but very contemporary looking. Thanks for the link, Candy. Do I dare start collecting another pattern?! ;)
