Update on Mr. TLRT

Hello everyone!  Time for an update on Mr. TLRT and another two weeks of unexpected events.
Another trip to the hospital, a successful surgery to repair the other side of his heart and so once
again, we are home.

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments and emails wishing for the best outcome for Mr. TLRT.
I will begin posting as I am able to and when inspiration strikes.  For now I have taken a job as full-time
caretaker and personal chef to this wonderful man that lives in my house.

  1. Sounds like a good job to me. My dad is the full-time caretaker for my mom who was diagnosed with dementia about 3 years ago. He amazes me every day. Good luck. One thing...it's very important that you take care of yourself. If you go down, where would your husband be? Eat right, rest well and try to get out of the house almost every day. He is a lucky man.

  2. Hope the recovery is going well. Both of you will continue in my prayers. Hugs, Marty

  3. It is good to hear from you! I pray that Mr. will continue his recovery (at lightning speed) and you will have the strength to cook Mr. the best meals ever! Take care, and the lovely hydrangeas in the jar brightened my day!

  6. Thank you for the update. Like Ms. Ann said above, you need to rest and take care of yourself too. Being a care giver is a hard job. Still in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. Glad things are going well and he had a successful surgery! My- it's amazing how one's life can be turned upside down in a moment. We went through cancer with our daughter at 4 yrs old and our lives were changed from that moment on. (She's fine and 24 now). It's wonderful you are there for him and have devoted yourself to his personal care. Hugs...Liz

  8. The procedures today are amazing. My husband had a five way bypass in 2009. Today he is doing great. Slow and easy...You and your husband have been in my prayers since I read about his attack.
Prayer is so powerful and your husband is still with us. Bless you.

  9. Glad to hear your husband is home recovering. I was just thinking about you yesterday. I have been through what you are going through. Take some time for yourself and remember to ask for help. People want to help, they just don't know how.

  17. Hi Candy, I just want to encourage you and add my two'penneth worth. Rememeber that blogging is funwe all know that, but it is not essential. Your Hubby is much more important. I know that sometimes we can get a bit obsessive about blogging, well I do anyway, but allow yourself to relax and look after yourself. We will all still be here when you are back.

Take good care and my best wishes to you and your family.

    Jo
