Milk Glass Canisters

It's time again for Vintage Thingies Thursday brought to us by our hostess from Coloradolady.
Gather up some of your vintage things and come join the party!

I'm also joining Jenny Matlock for Alphabe-Thursday.
This week's letter is "C" for Canister and sCoop and measuring Cup!

I have a lot of "go-alongs" that I use with my Fiesta collection, some are old, some
are new, but they all have a place in my kitchen.

This set of vintage canisters are milk glass with fired on colors believed to be made
by Anchor Hocking.  The labels were not original to the set and were applied by a
former owner.  At first I thought I would remove them, but I decided to leave them intact.
She must have used more sugar than flour ..... notice the sugar is the largest canister!

The scoops are both old and new.  The small metal scoop with the wooden handle was
made by Mr. TLRT for his Mom in his 7th grade shop class.  So sweet that I now have
it after she used it all those years in her kitchen.  The layered multi-colored scoop came
from Home Goods, as did the cute set of melamine measuring "bowls" that range in
size from a 2 cup size down to 1/4 cup.  They are very handy!

Thanks for stopping by again this week for Vintage Thingies Thursday
and Alphabe-Thursday, hope to see you again next week.
Please check out my tablescape posted for this week's Tablescape Thursday.
