Red and Green .... not just for Christmas

I've been away for so long that I barely remember this tablescape that I put together in early June.  Red and green almost always say "Christmas" to me, but I think here it does manage to speak to our hot summer weather.

The vintage tablecloth is by California Hand Prints and the Fiesta is shown in Scarlet, Shamrock and White. Some of the Homer Laughlin "Diner" line is also included.  More details at the end of the post.

Bignonia capreolata 'Dragon Lady' in my garden.
This year Fiesta is celebrating its 75th Anniversary.  This is a special 70th Anniversary plate released five years ago.
Exclusive "Dots" salad plates from HLCCA
'Gizmo' roses from my garden

Vintage California Hand Prints tablecloth.
Napkins from Tuesday Morning
Vintage green Depression Glass
Red tumblers from Home Goods
Flatware is Cambridge and is sold as "Dot Gingham" or Duplex "Happy"

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit the Little Round Table.

  14. Beautiful! My first stop here to your blog and the Fiesta caught my eye. Oh the memories of Fiesta. I grew up on the farm and Fiesta was our every day dishes, using them daily before it was "cool". My grandmother gave her daughter and her daughter-in-law (my mother) a whole set of Fiesta dishes when they first got married, including the glasses, pitchers, nesting bowls, OMG, tons of accessories, in all the original vintage colors. My mother always loved the set and never tired of it ~ and us kids did too. A few years ago my 60 year old brother went out and a bought a set of every color and presented it to his wife, and my nephew wanted to register for them when he got married. Amazing what a few dishes will do to you. You created a beautiful setting and triggered some special memories for me. Thank yoU!
